Next	This now abandoned stairway is situated just at the corner of the courtyard, up a small flight of steps from the modern bench seat visible at the bottom of the picture. two doorways now lead out into what would once have been the great hall, but now only serves as a roof to the cellars below, and the stairway serves only to carry a modern downspout for rainwater. Through one of the doorways is visible the top of an internal wall, and the side wall of the great hall, and cellars. Opposite is the bounding wall of the courtyard.
